My Lord,

On behalf of two Individuals desirous of emigrating to the Cape of Good Hope I take the liberty of addressing your Lordship.

They are desirous of knowing whether His Majesty’s Government has any objection to make them a grant of Two Hundred Acres of land at the Cape upon paying the expences of the passage themselves. Their ages are between twenty and thirty and their constitutions very good.

Humbly requesting the honor of an answer to the above

I am very respectfully My Lord

Your Lordship’s most obedient humble servant

            C.J. BANCKS
