Sir,
On account of the extensive emigration to the Cape of Good Hope, I beg to offer my Services as Engineer and Land Surveyor, to the Settlers, or in any other capacity that I can be useful. I have lately been employed in Garrison? Islands as Military, and Civil Engineer, but in consequence of the Reduction ordered in my Corps, it has unfortunately been my lot to be placed on half pay –
