Sir,

            The writer hereof, a young man a carpenter joiner & cabinet maker with his wife & brother who has a knowledge of husbandry and farming, wish to know the particulars which His Majesty’s Government offer to those who choose to emigrate to the Cape of Good Hope, not having sufficient employ’t in England – wether persons can work at their trade when there, wether they will be allowed to take working tools with them & what property is required & also the time of sailing.
