Honorable Sir,
I take the liberty of writing to you concerning of what I see in the newspapers for to emigrate to the Cape of Good Hope as I Robt. MOORE, J J. BAIRD wife & one child and Edw. MOULDER wife & 3 children we wish to go but we wish to know what your proposals are and where we could see them. We belong to His Majesty’s Honorable Board of Customs as Extra Watchmen and I am sorry to say it that we are all starving in that Class, upon Average we do not get more than three or four nights a month and that is not certain. We are all willing to work but cannot get any employ,
