The Writer is a young man twenty one years of age by trade a hunting cap and race cap maker helmet and accoutrement maker has a wife no family the writer whishes much to go to the cape of good hope Sir I hope it will not offend you by my writing but I have heard you are the proper person to make application to  therefore is hope you will excuse me for so writing sir and I understand you send a printed letter with particulars to those who you think suitable I cannot say any more at present no knowing any particulars ----
