ROBINSON, Dr.

July 22nd 1819

My Lord,

I beg leave to enquire of your Lordship whether it is the intention of Government in forming the new colony at the Cape of Good Hope to connect a Medical Establishment with the plan in view and whether a Physician is to be appointed.

I pray your Lordship will excuse the liberty and not consider the enquiry intrusive but if the present communication should receive your Lordship’s notice as leading to further steps not perhaps foreign to the welfare of the colony, I have the honor to be my Lord

Your Lordship’s most obedient and very humble servant

J? ROBINSON MD

Note from GOULBURN:

There is no intention of  making any medical estab’t of such a nature as to require the app’t of a physician
