Notes |
- Harriet Turner was a 1820 Settler and built an Inn at the Koonap River crossing. It was a half way post between Grahamstown and Fort Beaufort and was much frequented by soldiers. On early maps it is shown as Tomlinson's Post. Harriet and George Tomlinson were childless and William b 1827 Etwall son of William Tomlinson went out to join his Uncle George and Aunt Harriet and remained there for life. [1]
