On 10 Nov 1838 Philip was baptised and married to Ann Mary Ogilvie (Daughter of William Ogilvie and Mary Hollings - Ogilive coat of arms was that of the Earl of Airlie, Alyth and Lintrathen). One of four sons and daughters. Philip had a farm on the Cape frontier at Koonap. On 27 July 1840 John Ogilvie was born. 9 Aug 1842 Philip was born.
