Notes: Thomas Glass was one of George Southey's Party of 1820 Settlers who came out in the Kennersley Castle that sailed from Bristol. He was listed as a sawyer (one who saws logs). Thomas’s deposit was paid by the parish of Wellington. He was married, and brought his wife and six children, four sons- and two daughters, two more sons and one daughter being born to him in this country. The Party was located on the tributary of the Bush River. Thomas did not stay with the Party for the mandatory three years that would have entitled him to claim a share of the land but abandoned the location almost immediately. He applied for, and was duly issued, with a colonial pass to allow him to seek work elsewhere. Thomas married Ann Fouracre, 1820 Settler on 25 Jan 1804 in Wellington, Somerset, England.
