Notes:

On 11 Oct 1823 after 10 days of torrential rain with all the low lying ground a quagmire, John Cadle set out to see what had become of his road-building project. He easily crossed the Braauwkranz River at the drift near his house in the morning but when he returned in the evening, it had become a raging torrent. In attempting to cross it on foot, he slipped and was drowned in the torrent in sight of home.

Annie Pomeroy wrote in July 2018 "Sarah Hornblow EDB. was based her birth date on a record I found in IGI . It was the wrong record. Her parents were Baptists and I have so far (2018) NOT found a record of her birth or a registration in Essex Non Conformist registers. I am still looking.
Her EDB, based on her age given on her death notice of 1843, is 1789 in Braintree; one of 10 or 11 children of her father Rev John Hornblow Particular Baptist minister and his wife Elizabeth Young - she was their 7th child as far as I have been able to ascertain.
Her 2nd marriage to John CADLE at Deptford in January 1816 was bigamous. She is recorded as Sarah Moore, Spinster of the parish of Deptford which is clearly inaccurate. They had 6 children together before he died. Her first husband George Moore was still living in 1838 and was present at their Daughter Sarah Georgiana Moore marriage to Augustus Stephen Jeffrey Pomeroy in Stepney. "
