Notes: Almost immediately after Thomas and Amelia married on 18 March, 1829, the young couple set off for the Wesleyan Methodist mission station at Butterworth beyond the Kei River to join the Rev. John William SHEPSTONE. After a brief valedictory service held in the chapel at Butterworth, Rev. SHEPSTONE and his wife and the ROBINSONs set out on the 5th of May, 1829, for Dapa’s country to found the Morley mission station. Within a month of the new station being started, Thomas George ROBINSON was killed by the fall of a tree when he was engaged in cutting it down to obtain timber for the Morley Mission. The young widow returned to Salem and afterwards she remarried. Amelia married Thomas George Robinson, 1820 Settler on 19 Mar 1829 in St George's Cathedral, Grahamstown, Eastern Cape, South Africa.
