  From Captain Robert Southey's History of the Southey Family : "William, the second son of Thomas, was to receive twenty pounds under his father's will and so probably he had been provided for during his father's life-time. What eventually became of William is uncertain. In1614 he paid the church warden for his wife's seat in the Wellington Church and in 1620 he began paying rates for a house in the tything of Woodford which he continued to do until 1662 when we assume he died."
