Notes |
- Won Military Cross in World War 1. He was a Major in the war. He won a Beit scholarship and went to Rhodes university. He then won a Rhodes scholarship and went to Exeter College at Oxford.
When war broke out he joined the Royal Field Artillery.He was seriously wounded in June
1918, and became disabled.
