• Notes

  A daughter was born to Charles and Daisy before the birth of William Edmund but she died. No record of this child can be found. Charlie and Daisy trekked with their oxen and household goods from Fort Beaufort to Postmasburg where they bought a farm named Bishop. In 1977 manganese was found on Bishop. Mineral rights were paid to Charles and Daisy which proved to be a great financial help. [6]
