She enjoyed tennis bridge, sewing and gardening. At Christmas time, she used to go Herald's Bay by ox wagon, over the Montague Pass. Where the wagon could not get over the boulders and rocks, they dismantled it and then carried over and then re-assembled it. It took them a couple of days to get there!!
