Notes |
- from Cynthia Giddy's notes -
Thomas Clarke Prynn married Elizabeth Rawlins and they settled later in Barkly East. They adopted a niece Sarah Caroline Cooper Robinson, youngest child and daughter of Martha Slater and William Robinson, her second husband, who died a month after the child's birth.
Elizabeth died in February 1902 in Barkly East and is buried there. On the farm "Fetcani Glen" in Barkly East there is a grave of a Miss Prynn who is said to have been a cripple. As Thomas and Elizabeth were allegedly childless when they adopted Sarah Caroline Cooper Robinson, this could not have been their child but possibly another niece. In later years they lived in a smaller house on their son-in-law Thomas Hezekiah Sephton's farm in Wartrail.
pg 48 Agnes Tales
from John Powell's notes:
Sarah Caroline Cooper ROBINSON was NOT a niece of Elizabeth (RAWLINS) PRYNN, but her half-sister; they had the same mother, Martha SLATER (RAWLINS/ROBINSON/JONES).
