- Gone Home: J.F.Carlisle
25 April 2011
Jack Carlisle passed away peacefully on the evening of Monday 25th April in Kommetjie, Cape Town. To Ena, John and his wife Bridgett and Anthony and his wife Lora, I on behalf of the Matabeleland Scout Council, The Provincial Scout Commissioner, Commissioners and Leaders and especially the Scouts of the 8th Bulawayo who experienced the direct leadership of Jack whilst we were all in the Troop, and the Scouts of the Gordon Park Crew, extend our heartfelt sympathies at this time of your bereavement. We acknowledge with gratitude the contribution Jack made to ensure the high standard of Scouting our Scouts enjoyed under his tutorship, given unstintingly to all. - Norman Scott
