- Lt General Sir Bindon Blood was OC the British troops stationed in the Eastern O.F.S. during the period when this area was the Orange River suzeranity. This probably at the time when the British drove the Basutho
across the Caledon river into the then Basutholand. NOT this Bindon Blood!
