When William died in 1863, she was only 16 and she went to live with an aunt with 10 boys (Aunt Dell?) She was 'adopted' by John & Martha Trollip who lived at Dagga Boer Farm. The Trollips also adopted Louis Henry Trollip (son of Henry Samuel Meaker) who married Miss Gregorowsk."
