  Mr Claridge Norman Mundell (82). a former Market Master of Pretoria. who developed a special crate used for the transportation of poultry, died in East London yesterday after a short illness. Mr Mundcll was born at Tarkastad in the Cape. He was educated at the Cradock Boys’ High School. and came to Pretoria in 1911 to begin work at the market. where he rose to the rank of market master in 1940. He retired IO a fruit farm at Halfway House in 1949, and married Miss Juanita Walker. finally settling in East London in 1964 [2]
