  St Andrew's College Register 1855-1959: Page 69 Entry 580 Meyrick Brabbin BOWKER Son of M.R.; Left Sep. 1886; born 1870; Day (scholar). Form II-V. 2nd XV; Banking for a year; farmed in Fish River area, and at Gaikaskop, Cathcart dist. 1894; died December 28th, 1938, at Dunskye, Cathcart dist. C.P. inherited the farm 'Dunskye' at Cathcart in 1913. Bought the Hogsback Inn in 1919 -20 from Mr. Holshausen. It was previously owned by Mr. Collins. Meyrick bought the Hogsback Inn in 1919 - 20 from Mr Holshausen. It was formerly owned by Mr Collins. [2] He was the son of Miles Robert Bowker.
