My sister is Millicent Marie (Lee) Buchanan and she married Thomas Allen Dicks. His father, Allen Gerald, was killed in a raid in 1987 - part of the earlier Zimbabwe conflict days - the church hall where Allen and quite a few of the villagers (Somabula I think) were literally slaughtered. Allen Gerald's father was James Allen Dicks, married Margaret Ann Ball. Lee and Thomas were divorced - Tom lives in New Zealand now, as do Lee's 2 children. She is here in Hastings. She came to me with my parents after they were the first of the farm attacks in Feb 2000. My Mum and Dad were badly beaten, lost everything although they didn't own the farm. Lee fortunately wasn't at home at the time. Dad went to my brother in SA a year later - he just couldn't live here, and died in 2004. Mum lives just around the corner from me - she wouldn't go back to Africa.
Potted history! Stuart and I married in Zimbabwe 1975 and came here 10 days later!
