• Notes

  After his marriage, they farmed in Mclear distr. they then moved to Senekal, then to Frankfort and finally to 'Witkleifontein', Heidelberg Distr. They lived there until his death. He is buried in the cemetery of a small Wesleyan Church, Heidelberg district, about 20 miles from his farm. The ashes of his wife were strewn on his grave.
