PEDDIE.— Wedding bells will be ringing out their joyous message for a number of Peddie young folk after the schools close.
Kathryn Timm, who will have finished her course at the East London 'Technical College, starts the “bell” rolling with her marriage to Eddie Botha, of the Free State. Their wedding will be in the Wesley Methodist Church on Friday afternoon. December 14, and the reception is to be held in the lovely garden of the home of Kathryn's parents, Lex and Di Timm, on their farm Hamilton. Eddie, who has played tennis and cricket for Free State will take his bride back to his farm in the “Vrystaat."
Aileen Randall, of an old Peddie family — her parents are George and Nellie Randall, of the farm Mizpah, is marrying Tinus Botha from “George se wéreld" on Saturday, December 15. Both Aileen and Tinus are teachers at the Peddie school and will con-tinue to teach next year. They will be married in the Peddie Methodist Church and the reception will be in the Town Hall.
Charmaine le Roux, who taught at the Peddie school before moving to East London this year, will be married to Colin Bailey, of East London, in East London, also on December 15. The reception will be in King William's Town.
On the same day, Dallas Timm, son of Paul and Sylvia Timm, of “Lovers Twist” is to marry Anne Putzier of Hamburg in East London, and
Marietjie de Kock, an old Peddie school pupil, is to marry Wim Low, of Hofmeyr, in King.
Retha Emms has announced her engagement to Sonny (V.B.) Dell. and it is understood the wedding is planned for March. They will probably live in Peddie for the time being.
Among the many friends at Aileen Randall's kitchen tea last week were 87-year-old Mrs.Ivy Kingman, who is still as alert and spry as ever. Also there was Rosella van Zyl (nee Randall) who is on a visit from Cape Town spending a short while with her parents, Ken and Ellie.
