Matric Feb 1933. R.U.C. 1934. Farmer, Glen Ovis, Carlisle Bridge, C.P.; D.R.A. Comdts Gold Medal 1936; Pt. City V.R.; Intelligence W.O. 1940 (Egypt); Lieut. Staff H.Q. 2 Div., M.E. 1942; Capt. Cypher Coy., 6C.A.A.D. 1943. Farming since 1945 at Glen Ovis, Carlisle Bridge, C.P. 1951. He set himself the task of creating a monument to his father, Thomas Bourchier Bowker, M.P. He collected sneezewood from which the bench was made. This was unveiled in December 1991. Matric at St Andrew's College 1933. BSc Agriculture at Rhodes. Farmed at Glen Ovis, Carlisle Bridge. Captain S.A.Armoured Div. in Egypt & Italy. Given Defence Medal, Victory Medal & Star of Africa Medal. Committee of 1820 Settler Foundation. Set himself the task of a monument to his father T.B.B.
