Other Information  Known to be in the Albany district on the 10th March 1823, as he signed the
Memorial from the Settlers in the District of Albany, Cape of Good Hope, to Earl Bathurst.

According to MD Nash in The Settler Handbook, Richard Simpson, labouer, and Harriet Percival, a maid servant with a child, sailed in the John as replacements
for a married man with wife and child who deserted the party at the last minute.
